Session Fees, Payment, Holding & Cancellation Policy

Therapy Session Fees, Payment, Cancellation & Policy

Free initial telephone/online consultation

Subject to my availability, I may be able to offer a free, no-obligation 20-minute telephone or online appointment. During this time, we can discuss your needs and therapy goals, as well as the session fees and cancellation policy. This is an excellent opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and to determine if I’m the right counsellor for you. It also helps us both gain a basic understanding of how and whether we can work together in the context of my therapy services.


In-person, online & Telephone session

Individual therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes, while couples therapy sessions usually extend to 60 minutes. I provide therapy services on a weekly or fortnightly basis, based on your preference. Sessions can be conducted in person, online, or over the phone. Additionally, I offer flexibility with session length, allowing for shorter or longer sessions tailored to your specific needs. Please note that I have a cancellation policy in place, and session fees will be discussed prior to our first meeting.


Initial assessment session

The initial assessment session lasts 50 minutes and is charged at the standard session fees. During this session, I will ask you a series of questions to better understand your therapy needs. You’ll also have the opportunity to inquire about my approach and the therapy services I provide. This process helps clarify expectations on both sides and gives you a sense of how I work, allowing us to decide together if we’re a good fit for ongoing therapy. Additionally, I will explain my cancellation policy during this meeting.

For individual adults (18 yrs +)

Standard individual session & Initial Assessment session

Our standard one-to-one therapy services session lasts 50 minutes and can be delivered in person, online, or via telephone. Please note our cancellation policy and session fees may apply.

Block booking of 8 standard sessions

Eight standard one-to-one therapy sessions, each lasting 50 minutes, can be delivered in person, online, or via telephone. Please be aware of our cancellation policy when scheduling, as it may affect session fees.


For couples & relationshp therapy

Standard session & Initial Assessment session

£90

Our standard therapy services include a session lasting 60 minutes, which can be delivered in person or online. Please be aware of our cancellation policy and session fees when scheduling your appointment.

Extended session & Initial Assessment session

£135

We offer extended therapy services with sessions lasting 90 minutes each, available both in person and online. Please be aware of our cancellation policy regarding session fees.

Block booking of 8 standard sessions

We offer eight standard therapy sessions, each lasting 60 minutes. These sessions can be delivered either in person or online, and we have a clear cancellation policy in place. Please note that session fees apply for each appointment.

Please note that session fees are VAT-inclusive, subject to change and reviewed annually, in accordance with our cancellation policy for therapy services.

Letter of Support & Statement Fees

Fees for providing a Letter of Support or a therapy-related statement will be negotiated based on the content, type, and time required to prepare the document. The basic session fees start at £50 per letter, and it’s important to review our cancellation policy when scheduling therapy services.

Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk & Talk Therapy sessions

Subject to availability, I offer Walk & Talk therapy services in natural outdoor settings across southwest Hampshire (UK), including areas such as Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, Romsey, and the New Forest (within approximately 10 miles of Eastleigh). Sessions may take place in local parks, walking routes, or nature reserves — but not in isolated areas — and are held during daylight hours only. Please note that session fees will vary depending on the location and travel requirements, and I also have a cancellation policy in place. For further details, please contact me.

Payment, Cancellation, Rescheduling & Holding Fees Policy

Payment

To secure your booking for our therapy services, payment should be made via bank transfer within 48 hours of receiving confirmation. Please note that for regular ongoing sessions, session fees must be paid at least two working days in advance of each session, in accordance with our cancellation policy.


Cancellations & rescheduling

At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session in accordance with our cancellation policy. Late cancellations or non-attendance will result in the full session fees being charged, which must be paid before your next session. If I need to cancel, I’ll provide an alternative appointment or a refund if applicable. For pre-booked and confirmed therapy services, any cancellation or rescheduling will incur a £15 holding fee per session, payable before the cancelled session or with your next payment.

If you're attending ongoing sessions and plan to be away (e.g. on holiday) but wish to maintain your regular appointment time, please be aware of our cancellation policy: a £15 holding fee per missed session will apply. This fee helps cover room hire and admin costs and must be paid before your next session, along with the session fees for our therapy services.
